3/10/2023 0 Comments Theme hospital trial![]() I love the game already and I wouldnt mind it having a optional setting for hard mode.Ī few tweaks that maybe could be possible in effort to add a bit of a challenge.Ĭhange the way level and reputation work on the number of patients, and make reputation increase and decrease the number of patients where below say 50% or 40% maybe, it becomes hard to make it sustainable, and level is used for how hard the illnesses you may see.ĭeaths should then impact the reputations even harder, and so should rage quits and sending people home, maybe 10% rep loss on death and 7% of rage quit and sending people home, and failing treatment (but not killing the patient) could cause a small rep loss.Įmergancies could be changed to paying 5 or 10% more for treating the patients (say instead of paying 10.000 it pays 11.000) but the money is only paid if you manage to successfully treat over 50% (maybe higher) of the patients in the given time, where the rest when time is up will rage quit or die? and cause rep loss. Like you have to get 1,000 resources to get this and do this or that.I don't want that to happen to this game. A game like Stellaris for instance (which I thought would end by hunger for 4x space games like Distant Worlds) is just "too hard" but not challenging hard, just annoyingly hard. I have a game where you literally spawn in animals/plants etc in a world and let it run. Then again, I do just like management simulations. But I find myself going back to all the hospitals (another good addition) and making it flow optimally, training/all staff are better (with good traits etc), 100% cure rate (or close too) and being top of the leaderboards - across the board. No matter how you look at it, you’re in control of a very sick hospital. The Grim Reaper stalks the corridors, the ill have some very odd ailments, and the staff want to play doctors and nurses together. Of course, you could just do all the missions to 3 stars and be done with the game. Design, maintain, and manage a high-tech hospital facility, making the most of limited resources and turning cures into cash. However, despite all this, the challenge becomes what "you" want to challenge yourself by. But, I don't think it should go as far as the room is unusable.but something in between just buying the machine back and nothing would be better for more challenge. Now the worst thing that can happen is you kill some patients by the machine exploding. In theme Hospital, you used to actually fear the earthquakes (at least I did). And the disasters are not that disastrous. It's only a bit tidious, in the game now (to me), when you're just waiting for the goal to pop. Or as you say, some new missions being timed. (as its at least different than all other modern era games) If they can do both that be awesome. I would, actually, much prefer a time mode rather than a sandbox mode. Even a mode to do "Time Trials" or what have you. ![]() The second one, will be quite hard to rejig (i think - based on my little programming knowledge) and it depends what you want it to turn into. ![]() I agree on one of your tweaks - that being the first one. more punishment for deaths in the hospitalĪt current state, as someone mentioned in other topic, it's challenging to stay awake while playing - you can't lose. Something similar to classical Theme Hospital game. So basically what I suggest is adding an optional hard mode which will make the game more difficult compared to base mode. I agree with you, all that difficulty definitions are quite subjective.
